Can you really install the same day?
If you call by 2 PM — yes, in most cases. The trucks carry the common tank sizes and standard fittings, so a typical replacement is one visit. When something unusual turns up (rare venting, a conversion that needs a survey), we say so on the phone, not in your driveway.
Do you pull a permit? Do I need one?
Yes and yes. Every East Valley city requires a plumbing permit for water heater replacement, and we pull it on every install — it's included in the price, never an upsell. It protects your insurance coverage and your resale disclosure.
Why does my water heater only last 6–10 years here?
East Valley water carries 13–19 grains of hardness per gallon. That scale settles in the tank, cooks onto elements, and eats the anode rod early. A $139 flush-and-anode-check extends life; a softener changes the math entirely.
Is tankless worth it in Arizona?
Often — our warm inlet water means tankless units perform better here than up north. The honest caveat is hard water: an annual descale is not optional in the East Valley. We'll give you the real total cost of ownership, not just the sticker.
