Home/Water Treatment
Softeners · reverse osmosis · whole-house filtration
Your water is 13–19 grains hard. That's not a flex.
East Valley municipal water is among the hardest in America — Mesa runs ~13–17 grains per gallon, Gilbert ~11–17, Chandler ~17–19. Anything over 10.5 is "very hard" on the USGS scale. It's why your glasses spot, your skin itches, and your water heater dies young. Fixable — usually in an afternoon.
Water softeners
The loop in your garage is waiting.
Most East Valley homes built since the 1990s came pre-plumbed with a softener loop in the garage. If you have the loop, install is quick and clean — no drywall, no drama. We size the system to your household and your city's actual hardness (32k, 48k, or 64k grain capacity), with pro-grade valves we can service for decades.
- Softer skin and hair, brighter laundry, spot-free glasses
- Protects the water heater, fixtures, and appliances from scale
- Sized to your home — we test your water at the tap, free

Reverse osmosis
Drinking water you'd choose on purpose.
A 5-stage reverse osmosis system under the kitchen sink turns East Valley tap water into the water you currently buy in bottles — for pennies. It's a standardized job with a standardized price, so we publish it exactly: $749 installed.
- 5-stage filtration to a dedicated faucet at the sink — ice maker tap included where practical
- Annual filter change keeps it honest (that's the $19/mo membership doing its job)
- Pairs with a softener: the softener protects the house, RO perfects the glass

Whole-house filtration
Every tap, covered.
For chlorine taste and odor throughout the house, a whole-house carbon system ahead of the softener finishes the job — shower water that smells like nothing, the way it should. We'll test your water first and tell you honestly whether you need it; plenty of homes are happy with softener + RO alone.

Good questions
Hard water FAQ.
How do I know if I have a softener loop?
Look in the garage near the water heater for a pair of capped copper or PEX stubs coming out of the wall, sometimes with a small bypass valve. Homes built after the early 1990s in Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe, and Queen Creek usually have one. Not sure? Text us a photo — that's a ten-second answer.
Is East Valley water safe to drink?
It meets federal standards — hardness is a comfort, taste, and equipment problem, not a safety violation. That said, "safe" and "tastes good" are different goals; that's what RO is for.
Salt-based softener or "salt-free conditioner"?
At 13–19 grains, we recommend a true ion-exchange softener — it's the only technology that actually removes hardness at these levels. We'll talk through salt use and efficiency honestly on-site.
Will a softener help my water heater?
Dramatically. Scale is the number-one killer of East Valley water heaters — it insulates elements, packs tank bottoms, and shortens anode life. Soft water is the difference between replacing a heater at year 7 and year 12+.
